Remote Assistance


Remote assistance is available from Pat's PC Repair on a limited basis to residents of Riverside County in California. Please email me or call to set up an appointment before continuing! Your computer needs to be connected to the Internet for remote access to work! 

You will also need to run a tiny program called "Instant Support."  This software will allow me to access your computer remotely. Installation is easy, so don't worry!  I will uninstall the software when I have finished servicing your PC to avoid any security risks.   Before downloading "Instant Support," please read the Terms and Conditions below, then click on the "I Agree" button at the bottom of the page if you agree with the terms.

Computer Service and Repair

I authorize Pat’s PC Repair to remotely access my computer and perform work on my computer. I understand that Pat’s PC Repair is not an authorized service center and cannot make warranty repairs. Further, I agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Pat’s PC Repair from liability for any claims or damages of any kind or description that may arise from any computer work performed on my computer, unless it was caused by the negligence of Pat’s PC Repair. I understand that Pat’s PC Repair is not responsible for any loss of data, which may occur as a result of work done on my computer.

I understand that the service provided by Pat’s PC Repair may void manufacturer warranties for this computer system. Pat’s PC Repair does not assume liability or warranty in the event that any of the manufacturer warranties are voided. I also understand that Pat’s PC Repair offers no verbal or written warranty, either express or implied, regarding the success of its services rendered.
I expressly waive all claims against Pat’s PC Repair or any damages to this computer system or data that may occur during the services rendered by Pat’s PC Repair. The liability of Pat’s PC Repair is strictly limited to those damages to this computer system that are due to negligence on the part of Pat’s PC Repair while services are being rendered.

I understand that it is my responsibility to back up all of the data on my computer prior to any services rendered by Pat’s PC Repair, that Pat’s PC Repair will not back up my data, and will not be held responsible for any loss of data due to services rendered by Pat’s PC Repair.

I understand that Pat’s PC Repair does not guarantee my computer is free of malicious software (such as viruses and other malware) at the completion of repairs. Pat’s PC Repair also does not guarantee that malicious software will not reinstall itself on my computer at any time. I understand there is an inherent risk associated with connecting to the Internet, and Pat’s PC Repair is not responsible for damages of any kind or description arising from malicious software or cybercrimes.

I understand that Pat’s PC Repair charges a service fee of US $40 per hour for remote assistance. If Pat’s PC Repair deems that repairs cannot be made, I will not be charged a service fee. I agree that full payment for the service fee and any new or replaced hardware and/or software is due upon completion of services, upgrades, repairs, or consultation.

Confidentiality: Pat’s PC Repair shall not disclose any network or data to any third party.

Governing Law:  This agreement is to be governed by the laws of the State of California.

NO WARRANTY

BECAUSE "Instant Support" (HEREAFTER REFERRED TO AS "THE PROGRAM") IS LICENSED FREE OF CHARGE, THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES PROVIDE THE PROGRAM "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PROGRAM IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.

IN NO EVENT UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW OR AGREED TO IN WRITING WILL ANY COPYRIGHT HOLDER, OR ANY OTHER PARTY WHO MAY MODIFY AND/OR REDISTRIBUTE THE PROGRAM, BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PROGRAM (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE OR LOSSES SUSTAINED BY YOU OR THIRD PARTIES OR A FAILURE OF THE PROGRAM TO OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER PROGRAMS), EVEN IF SUCH HOLDER OR OTHER PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
